What is wrong with people??? These two are DOCTORS and their young son has more sense than they do…he’s telling them “Don’t do it! You’ll go to jail.” Which they did, and who knows if it will impact their licenses or practices.

I don’t care what you believe about Trump or any other candidate or whatever belief you may have about anything, YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO BREAK THE LAW BECAUSE YOU DON’T AGREE WITH SOMEONE OR SOMETHING. We have become such intolerant people.

If you don’t support Trump or any other politician, VOTE HIM/HER OUT – CAMPAIGN FOR WHOMEVER OPPOSES HIM/HER – but you don’t have the right to steal flags, signs, etc.

If you are against Gay Rights –  DON’T BE ONE…no one is forcing that lifestyle into YOUR everyday life.  Gays aren’t abducting straight people off the streets to use as sex slaves.  Your opinion or belief doesn’t give you the right to beat them up or bash them.

If you are against abortion YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK TO CHANGE THE LAWS YOU DISAGREE WITH – You do not have the right to set fire to abortion clinics, or murder those providing abortions.

If you disagree with this lockdown, your right to protest does NOT include failure to adhere to laws protecting the general public.  If you think there is no need for the lockdown, or if you think the virus is a hoax, maybe you should go volunteer to help take care of the many ill and/or dying, or maybe dig the graves for those who have passed and are unclaimed and being buried in bulk graves.  When it impacts YOUR OWN loved ones, maybe your mind will be changed…but maybe it won’t.  We even seem to have lost the natural instinct of caring for our elderly or our young children.  So many care for only themselves.

If you are a Christian and believe people of other faiths, people who do not go to church, or people who commit sins in your eyes are GOING TO HELL, it doesn’t give you a right to criticize or judge them.  Hate will never spread Christianity….only love.  The few times the Bible talks about Jesus getting angry, it is towards hypocrites and people in the temple.  He reached out to the sinners. Matthew 5:21-24  says: “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”  So many “Christians” have to remind everyone on social media and in life in general with a fish on their car or by going to church every Sunday that they are Christians.  Sitting in church every Sunday doesn’t any more make you a Christian than sitting in a garage makes you a car!  If you are a REAL CHRISTIAN you won’t have to TELL a soul.  It will be obvious from the way you live your life and how you treat and speak to others.

I have several YouTube gardening channels to which I subscribe.  On one of them the young man starts his videos by stating that he is going to offer “tips, tricks and support” on gardening.  Someone objected to his terminology and told the YouTuber that it made him sound “uneducated”.  Several people responded (some less politely than others) and a real bickerfest started…as often happens on all social media.

Why, in this age of liberality, are we so easily offended???  Why do we nitpick each other’s typos or grammatical mistakes on social media and in person?  Why can’t we walk past a person’s house who has a sign in HIS OWN YARD supporting someone who is not OUR desired candidate without stealing or defacing it?  Why do we feel other people are ONLY entitled to have an opinion IF IT AGREES WITH OUR OWN?

As Hal David wrote and so many artists have sung…”What the world needs now, is love sweet love”.  My goodness, is there any one of us who would not like a little more love and appreciation?  We don’t have to tear another down to lift ourselves up.  Let’s each make an effort to uplift those around us.  In this time of Covid-19 and upcoming election, there are two extremes on social media…those who post every horrible news article on it (many times without fact-checking) or those who are posting positive uplifting news (yes, there is some).  I have actually had to unfollow many friends because I just can’t handle all the negativity they post.  It literally begins to impact my health and sometimes I just go to bed and cry for hours.

Let’s each be more tolerant, more loving, more kind.  It doesn’t cost a thing and I think it could change the world.  LET’S BE THE CHANGE!  WE CAN DO THIS!!!
